Merger proposal[edit]

GWR 5205 Class to be merged into GWR 4200 Class There seems to be little reason to have the 5205 sub class as a separate page from the 4200 class, and yet not have a separate page for the 5275 sub class. Best to have all three together, especially as by the end many 4200s were upgraded to 5205 or 5275 specification. 212.159.44.170 (talk) 19:05, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Have removed this merger proposal as no comment at all, and it could well be argued that either all the Collett variations on Churchward classes should be mereged into their parents or none of them, and none is less work. 212.159.44.170 (talk) 11:12, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Minimum Curve Radius[edit]

Minimum Curve radius 2 chains! I think not: that's ridiculous. The very short wheelbase 15xx pannier tank is listed as min radius three chains (Observers book, 1959). Its certainly not listed in the RCTS reference given. A more likely figure I've seen elsewhere is 5 chains, but I haven't seen what I'd call a reliable reference. 212.159.44.170 (talk) 13:01, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
