Gala Days in Scotland[edit]

Gala days happen in many towns and villages in scotland and sound quite similar to the current description. Maybe someone who knows more could add some info. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.66.113.165 (talk) 12:15, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate Title[edit]

This content should be given its own article titled "Geelong Gala Day", since that is what it's about. There are a great many towns holding Galas - an article titled "Gala Day" should look at the phenomenon from a more general perspective. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.199.197.210 (talk) 12:44, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Size of the Gala[edit]

How do we know that Geelong's Gala day is one of the biggest?

What is being measured? : Duration? / Number turning out to watch it? / Amount of money raised for charitable purposes? / Number of floats? / Length of procession? .....

Is it because Geelong is a big town or because the Gala is especially important locally? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.199.197.210 (talk) 13:08, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
