Tidy Up[edit]

No offense intended to the original creators of this enthusiastic page but have given it a bit of a tidy up to more closely resemble Wikipedia style - has to sound like a fairly encyclopedia type entry! Unsourced content removed[edit]

Per WP:CS, WP:OR, and a whole host of other rules, I have removed all information that is lacking a source. It might seem draconian, but it is simply not right that someone can come along (probably a Gaydio employee) and add what the hell they like, without citing a source. Again, I have removed more unsourced text, this time in the way of "presenters". I note the hidden message in the edit screen asking for "only notable presenters to be added, with a source. I'm sorry, but I have no sooner heard of "Matt Crabb" or "Craig Law" than I have my long-lost Auntie Doris from Devonshire and her deaf cat; not only that, but if we're telling people to provide sources if they want to add a "notable presenter", then we should really be adding sources to what is already there. There are some big name, notable DJs there, but they all network. They are in no way exclusive to this station - I very much doubt they've even heard of it. It's a tin-pot community radio station, not exactly Radio 1. Cassianto^Talk 21:40, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Broadcast area[edit]

This is said to be "United Kingdom". But, to me, it is actually Great Britain as all of the frequencies are in areas on the mainland of the UK - none are in Northern Ireland. If the online service is taken into account, then of course people in all parts of the United Kingdom that have internet access are able to listen to the service, except that, online, it is actually worldwide rather than the UK. Does "broadcast" area only apply to the terrestrial frequencies though, is it "broadcasting" if it is online or is this an internet or online service rather than a broadcast service as in traditional radio or TV broadcasting? aspaa (talk) 15:28, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
