Discrepancies?[edit]
"Close began his military career in 1974 as an infantry battalion commander (lieutenant colonel) of the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii. He was later transferred to Washington, D.C., to be a senior aide-de-camp to the Secretary of the Army."
He was commissioned as a LTC and given charge of an infantry battalion right off-the-bat? Also, he has some Vietnam medals, which I imagine he received before 1974. 2600:8805:A985:4300:C526:DD56:C9FE:4D94 (talk) 17:58, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
