George Mahon (accountant)George Mahon (Everton FC) – George Mahon is better known as a founding father and former chairman of Everton Football Club than for being an accountant. He is most famous for his involvement in the football club's move from Anfield to Goodison Park. It would be more helpful to recognise his footballing role because people are more likely to search for information about him because of his part in the history of Everton Football Club. The history of Everton FC also involves a connection to Liverpool Football Club through the ground move from Anfield to Goodison Park. Supporters of both clubs associate George Mahon with Everton FC and not for being an accountant C3MC2 (talk) 13:43, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. From the start-class article so far, it would appear that Mahon is best known for his involvement with Everton. If and when the article is developed, it may turn out that other aspects of his career (such as his involvement in the Liberal Party and the Irish Home Rule movement) were more significant; but for now, Everton appears to be the main reason for his notability. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:13, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
