Notability[edit]

Having read Piers Bizony's "The Man Who Ran the Moon - James Webb, JFK and the Secret History of Project (sic) Apollo". It is clear that George Mueller was one of the seminal figures behind both Apollo and the genesis of the Space Shuttle.

Updated Assessment[edit]

I've assessed this article "down" to Mid importance and "up" to B class. (Down from High because although Mueller was vital to the success of Apollo, and Apollo is important in the history of human space exploration, and human exploration is apparently again becoming important in the overall field of space exploration, but the transitivity of those connections fades with their number. "Soubriquet"[edit]

I'm sorry, but not only does this come across as snooty to an American audience, but according to our Sobriquet page, it isn't even accurate: "a nickname which is familiar enough such that it can be used in place of a real name without the need of explanation." I think that's stretching it (a lot, not just a bit). I think most people would scarcely recognize who Mueller is, let alone as "father of the space shuttle".
