Unnecessary disambiguation page[edit]

I cannot see any reason for this disambiguation page to exist. @Kwamikagami created it with the statement "this is not the generic meaning of gestational age"; but in fact, Gestational age (obstetrics) is the generally accepted meaning of the term. The other article linked from the dab page, Human fertilization#Fertilization age, explicitly says that fertilization age is different from gestational age. To the extent anyone is confused about the difference between the two concepts, reading the lede of the Gestational age article will clarify it for them much more effectively than this disambiguation page can do. I'd recommend moving the article back to this title and deleting the dab page. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 19:27, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's true in the US, but doesn't reflect a global perspective. There are plenty of sources -- and countries -- that define gestational age as the age of gestation. For example, Canada defines 'gestational age' as from fertilization.[1] Nearly all dictionaries define gestational age as from fertilization. Other sources vary as to whether they date from fertilization or implantation (i.e. age of pregnancy), but there is often a degree of confusion, which several editors have commented on or complained about, over what 'gestational age' refers to.
