If the plot information is correct, then this is not a remake of Steve McQueen's movie The Getaway, but instead it is a movie that just shares the same name, but is just entitled Getaway. None of the plot points listed line up with McQueen's film. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.0.37.134 (talk) 11:19, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So far what sources we have are referring to it as a remake. Daily Mail isn't the most reliable thing ever but we can amend the information as more sources become available. What we cannot do is flat out state that it isn't a remake without a source confirming it. Millahnna (talk) 06:41, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like somebody to edit the plot information, and write a more detailed description of the movie's plot. Not just for informational purposes, but some things in the movie didn't make sense. We don't quite understand why the bad guys wanted to close off all routes out of town, except for one. It appears the computer drives were recovered, yet at the end of the movie, the voice says he's wealthier than he ever was. We see a blinking lit-up briefcase being hauled out of the lobby of a nightclub, and we have no idea if the police recovered only part of the computer drives. Some things just don't make sense. Somethings might be clearly explained in a written screenplay, but are not translated to the screen so the viewer can understand. Marc S. This is a bit mean to Selena Gomez[edit]

What I mean is that she has feelings like any else of us... And I think it's a bit mean to make it so public that she is considered the "Worst Actress". It's awful. She's such a lovely girl. A good little Catholic girl, and to do this to her reputation is really awful :( Can we please be nicer to her??? 129.180.158.114 (talk) 10:27, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

She's Christian :) So we should be nice to her :) 129.180.158.114 (talk) 10:28, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Video Game Adaptation[edit]

This seems to be an adaptation of The Getaway (video game). Aside from the obvious similarity of title, both works feature a protagonist who is ordered to commit a series of criminal acts in order to secure the safe return of a kidnapped family member, in furtherance of a criminal master plan in which the kidnapper stands to gain considerable wealth leaving the protagonist as the apparent perpetrator. Can anyone find a reliable / noteworthy source for this? Skyraider (talk) 12:00, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

But where is the main action set?[edit]

"It is then revealed that The Voice was in fact controlling the entire operation from a bar in the United States."
