Batik-Del Monte[edit]
Did Gewiss fold at the end of 1996 or did they become Batik-Del Monte? Batik-Del Monte was run in 1997 by the same people (Emanuele Bombini, Guido Bontempi and Flavio Miozzo) and with many of the same riders. Does anyone know if it was a new team, or a continuation of the old? SeveroTC 00:17, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- cyclingnews said in 1996 that Batik-Del Monte was going to be a new team. In other articles, they suggest that Batik-Del Monte is the same team. So: I don't know. I don't even know what the definition of a team is, when is team A in 1997 considered the same team as team B in 1998? Does the UCI register that? 1994 Fleche Wallonne "greats of cycling"[edit]
Armstrong and Rebellin were hardly "greats of cycling" in 1994, so I'm taking them out.
