Contested PROD[edit]

I contested the proposed deletion of this article as the reason given definitely doesn't fall under the heading of "uncontroversial". It isn't clear that this horse doesn't meet WP:N or WP:ATHLETE. While I don't have a clear opinion of the notability of this article at the moment, especially as I'm not capable of reading the Swedish language sources, I think the proper course of action would be for the editor who PRODed the article to take it to AFD. —/Mendaliv/^2¢/_Δ's/ 15:52, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And what I mean about the horse and WP:ATHLETE: while I understand that the notability guideline for athletes was intended for humans, I argue that for the people who follow horse racing, it is more often the horses who fill the role of athlete. As the creator of the article, I obviously want the article to live on. To improve it and make it more notable, I have added some info about the race Prix d'Amérique in general (being the most prestigious and richest race in Europe, and as that giving the winners some extra notability) and the 2006 P d'A particularly (having post-race drama in the shape of a disqualified winner due to failed doping test).Njaker (talk) 18:24, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
