Birthdate[edit]

22 May or 28 July? The 5th edition of Grove has both Giuditta and Giulia born on 28 July, in 1805 and 1811 respectively. The Catalan, German, French and Russian WP articles all have Giulia born on 28 July 1811, although the Spanish, Italian and Slovenian have 22 May as the English does. There are plenty of online places where both sisters are shown with the birthday 28 July, but nowhere that I've found is any mention made of this coincidence. So, I'm guessing it's an easily understandable misprint that's been widely copied and still lives. The Grove Online articles on the sisters, both by Elizabeth Forbes, now show 22 May 1811 for Giulia, and 28 July 1805 for Giuditta. Based on that, I've reverted today's edit to 22 May, despite what can be found at Wikidata d:Q287344 and the sources given there. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 11:32, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
