Merger proposal[edit]

This article appears to fail WP:GNG and WP:NEVENT – there's no coverage of it outside of tabloid newspapers and the radio stations that are part of the Global group. It's just a self-congratulatory exercise which relies entirely on primary sources and is pretty much already included on Global (company)#The Global Awards anyway.
