@1292simon: Can you explain what's wrong with my article? This is just a translation of my ru-wiki article. Please note that en-wiki has had a completely outdated article National Container Company for ages. Meanwhile, NCC no longer exists — in 2013 it merged with Global Ports. @Khinkali:, could you please take a look at this article? You were its reviewer in ru-wiki previously.   • Yes, I was reviewing the ru-wiki article Global Ports, because I see no problem with it. The text is based on uses reliable sources, there are no advertising phrases, all information is presented in neutral and balanced language. Maybe we should just remove ROLIS section, but this is optional. I've read the translation and can confirm that it's 99% true to the original. I see a source of problems in the fact that there are few people on en-wiki who can understand russian-related topics as this often requires an understanding of the language and knowledge of culture and economics. This begs another question: why did you choose this topic? It is rather typical for company employees. So I'd recommend you clarify your relationship with GP and explain your motives in a few words.     • In 2005 I got a job at N-Trans as an engineer, then in 2008 the company was renamed Global Ports. Then I joined Maersk in 2015 (I created a ru-wiki article about their founder). I shifted my professional focus a little bit in 2018 and joined Novatek, designed the infrastructure for Sabetta port. So I find my work in Global Ports far back in the past. And there is no longer any conflict of interest. Although I’m well versed in the topic, thanks to many years of work. And I can explain it clear enough, at least for my parents, who are still confused about what and for whom I’ve been designing for 20 years. Burleski (talk) 20:50, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      You probably already figured out on your own that it’s better to start with known non-commercial topics. This would raise less suspicion. Just imagine every day’s flood of advertising articles. But if so, it can't be helped. Your story is interesting, the explanation is quite valid. I see no reason to keep the article in drafts, but I’ll follow up on yours further contributions (it would be helpful if you translate N-Trans and NCC). Colleague @1292simon:, what do you think?         • Thank you for the translation. One more article was kept up to date. Since the colleague hasn't reacted, I'll move the article to mainspace on my own responsibility. There is nothing critical in the article to me, but I'll remove one section. Please, next time try to take a hard look at your contribution from other editors' points of view. It is worth making your actions clear for all to see. It's about both your motivation and the selected topics. The notability should be shown in context (if there are already some articles necessary to understand the context, it's better to update them first and then create new ones).
