Request for info[edit]

I've just created a couple of pages for the Global Underground releases 006 to 019. I was unable to locate info on 008 on the Global Underground website, so I couldn't do that one, and the info on the GU website for 005 didn't match up with the info found at Allmusic.com, which I was using to cross-check playlists & playtime. If anyone has these albums, please create the two sites. I'll create pages 020 through to 028 during the holidays. I've also taken the liberty of standardizing the previous album pages, so there's a consistency with the ones I've recently added. robotusch 05:47, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting that this page makes no mention of the assorted artists that Global Underground failed to pay for using their tracks on these compilations - they've ripped off producers for tens of thousands of pounds, yet it always seems to go unreported doesn't it? hmmmmmmm.....—Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.11.80.36 (talk • contribs)

GU002[edit]

I removed this from the article as it isn't true:

One thing that may confuse people is that in the Unites States GU002 DOES exist. It is actually Paul Oakendfold's New York set which was later labeled and released as GUOO7. Though the track listing is the same, there is different artwork for this version compared to that of GU007. These are very difficult to find, and those who do have one feel that they have a "collector's item" in their collections.

The original UK releases are numbered differently than the US releases. This is apparently confusing for some people, but take a look at the numberings in the Catalog section - it clears things up. I'm not sure what exactly the editor is trying to say is a collectors item, but GU007 certainly isn't a collectors item (its available on Amazon UK) and I don't know why the US re-release would be a collector's item either. Lights Out[edit]

There's a section on Lights Out albums saying "Steve Lawler was allowed to dive into what were considered new territories of time including remixing tracks for his compilations. He also included music and methodology that had never been used on studio mixed CDs before." I can't fathom what this "methodology never used before on CDs" is, and since I've never read about such revolutionary technique before, I'll probably remove it.
