Un-italianted englishmen.[edit]

It is pretty amazing the british were able to start building this rowboat in Nov 2011 and have it lead the riverine pageant in early June 2011! In comparison, the venetians have been going nowhere with their 4+ year long full-scale recreation of the Bucintoro, the 40 meter ducal rowboat that Napolean burned for its gold gildings. Infighting, corruption, lack of leadership and whatnot are responsible for the stall. 91.82.35.23 (talk) 21:09, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Flags[edit]

What were the flags displayed on the back?86.130.232.35 (talk) 22:10, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The flags of Scotland, Cornwall, Wales & England, as well as London I think, and the one on the front I'm not sure of. Edit: Two of them appear to be sponsors flags (...) I think this info should go into the article. --Τασουλα (talk) 22:25, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The answer to 86.130.232.35's question is in Wikipedia's Royal barge article. Headhitter (talk) 23:00, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hull[edit]

Tell me it's not made of fibreglass.

Engine[edit]

No mention that it has an engine albeit electric. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.148.12.16 (talk) 09:53, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Project scope[edit]

I don't think a <100 ft rowing barge is within the scope of WikiProject Ships. Tupsumato (talk) 08:17, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The 100ft requirement appears to only apply to civilian ships, which as a royal barge, does not (to me) applies to the Gloriana. KTC (talk) 22:31, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
