Name changes[edit]

A blog was cited to support the account (which it implicitly attributes to him) that "Wells" was a temporary change of surname, and "God Shammgod" was how he was born. (Don't say "legal name", that concept sounds clearcut but is unencyclopedically vague.) Blogs are not acceptable as refs. I tried The Smoking Gun to see if his birth certificate was there, but was disappointed -- the only major source of doubt in my mind. I still think it more likely that the informally-changed-to-Wells-then-back scenario is true, but we need V.

Tiny Archibald[edit]
