Romanization[edit]

The Chinese name of the society should also be Romanized, but I don't know if to pinyin or the language of the Hakka. --Error (talk) 22:27, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

God or Emperor Worshipping Society?[edit]

If you read the chinese romanizated name of the sect, Bài Shàngdì Huì, you read Shangdi, which in chinese means Emperor, so to be more exact it should not be called the Emperor Worshipping Society? 88.5.108.132 (talk) 14:43, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Shangdi usually means God, emperor is either Di alone or Huangdi. 42.61.172.8 (talk) 14:43, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Shangdi means highest Emperor or the Emperor above, and is used nowadays for God by groups of Protestants, and is generally understood to be “God”.
Emperors are Huangdi. 168.70.124.71 (talk) 00:34, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
