Cherry Lane Theatre[edit]

I moved this article from the title "Godspell (1971 Off-Off-Broadway Cast)" to the title "Godspell (1971 Off-Broadway Cast)". I realize that the album's listing in AllMusic.com calls it the "Off-Off-Broadway Cast", but that is incorrect. Godspell was off-off-Broadway when it played New York's Café La MaMa for a two-week run in early 1971. Two producers saw it, hired Stephen Schwartz to write a new score, and moved it to the Cherry Lane Theatre, which was — and is — an off-Broadway venue. In fact, the Cherry Lane is New York's oldest continuously running off-Broadway theater. — Walloon 06:17, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
