This article needs a section with the sub-title "Criticisms". It is often said that situation comedy is not actually situation comedy at all, but "character comedy". I am sure that this programme has been criticised on the grounds that it seemed so out of character for Fletcher to become "the good guy" after years in prison, that it broke too many views to be a viable sitcom. This would mean that today, it would be seen as a less successful spin-off than say, Robin's Nest or George and Mildred, which were both spin-offs to Man about the House and which retained the characterisation of the original series. Indeed, the series George and Mildred helped to exaggerate George Roper's traits. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 21:18, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
