Unencyclopedic[edit]

I'm removing the paragraph relating to some obscure Internet "garage" startups. At worst, it's spam, and at best unencyclopedic and irrelevant in a general discussion of the Town of Gorham. If they deserve mention, there are certainly also scores of established businesses that have had far more impact on Gorham, past and present. The Rustic Overtones mention is also questionable, but I'll leave it alone for now. -Lifelong Gorham resident. 24.198.172.188 15:05, 20 April 2006 (UTC) (24.198.172.188 was me before I had a user name, and I am post-signing this comment. I think it was a good call. See WP:CORP which kind of applies here. --W.marsh 16:40, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Paranoid Social Club[edit]

I don't necessarily object to the Rustic Overtones link, as they did have some regional fame. But does Paranoid Social Club have any direct connection to Gorham? AFAIK it was founded in Portland. Rustic Overtones was considered Portland-based, but was founded in Gorham, when the core members were in school. I am tempted to remove the reference as too obscure. Perhaps the Rustic Overtones article would be a better place for a PSC reference? JamesofMaine 12:12, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Little Falls[edit]

Little Falls has always referred to the village on the Gorham side of the Presumpscot River; the village directly across the river in Windham has always been called South Windham, as far as I can recall---having grown up near the area and read up on local history. They do form one contiguous built-up village center area, but they have different names on different sides of the river. Ripogenus77 13:37, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gorham Academy Architecture[edit]

I always thought that the Academy building on School Street was an example of Georgian Architecture, not Federal style. The Gorham historical society page says Georgian but here it says Federal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.97.236.58 (talk) 13:21, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
