Problems[edit]

This article has serious problems both in lack of information, use of English, and the superflous information about the name at the end. I will be making major changes this week if time permits. Vogensen 15:23, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have completed what I think is an improvement. I got rid of the long list of names and dates about the name of the city. I don't think the reader is interested. Vogensen 23:51, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article is very racist/ethnocentric. Needs work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.237.166.132 (talk) 00:43, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

HD-Net story[edit]

On 26-February-2011, the show "Dan Rather Reports" on HD-Net had a story about a city named Valadares in Brazil. Would this be the city they were featuring? I know that the official name of the city in this article is "Governador Valadares" and Mr. Rather kept saying just "Valadares". It seems to be a common city name in Portugal, like "Springfield" is for cities in the United States. So it is not clear that the city he was talking about is this one in the article. Just wondering. Thanks.
