The part "including the Sinfonia Concertante and her first symphony, most of which she subsequently destroyed" is rather curious, as these two works are absolutely extant, and have even been recorded recently, respectively conducted by Baldur Bronimann and Owain Arwel Hugues : Sinfonia Concertante : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_L6mQQzxAts Symphony No. 1 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ks9Hw_hdxp0

And the segment concerning the Second Symphony "leaving in effect an unfinished symphony" is also curious, as the symphony is complete, and is a full-scaled 38-minute work, which has been recorded on a Lyrita CD : http://www.allmusic.com/album/grace-williams-ballads-fairest-of-stars-symphony-no-2-mw0001802341
