Map coords[edit]

This article is about Great and Little Amwell; but the map dot is on the wrong Amwell - it's on Amwell in the parish of Wheathampstead, whereas the Amwells being disucssed in the article are in the area south of Ware. As the article is about two separate villages, two dots might be necessary - one for Great Amwell and one for Little Amwell (which appears on most maps these days as Hertford Heath). Little Amwell and Hertford Heath[edit]

The Parish Church of Holy Trinity, Little Amwell,[1] seems to be sited right in the middle of the village of Hertford Heath, which has it's own parish council [2]. Can anybody explain the conundrum please? Alansplodge (talk) 19:07, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Amwell, Hertfordshire → Great Amwell – This page title and opening sentence suggest the page is about both Great Amwell and Little Amwell, but then only goes on to discuss the village and parish of Great Amwell. The two are separate places, and the talk pages here and at Hertford Heath suggest people have been confused about where Little Amwell is. I have created a new page on the former redirect page Little Amwell which should clarify matters, and would like to have this page moved to Great Amwell (currently a redirect page to this Amwell page), as Great Amwell is both the official name of the parish and the common name and postal address of that village. Support as I noted at User:Crouch, Swale/Missing parishes (2)#Hertfordshire this page should be moved to Great Amwell after creating Little Amwell which was done yesterday by the OP. Its unlikely we need an article on "Amwell" describing both places so we probably don't need an article dealing with both and since there is another place called just "Amwell" this title should redirect to the DAB.
