"the [2000] accident, described as the most serious since the opening in 1902"[edit]

It may well have been described as that, but it would seem to ignore the one and only fatal accident (not mentioned in this article) in 1932. Information here. Loganberry (Talk) 13:54, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

One of three?[edit]

About this being «one of only three surviving in the world^{[citation needed]}.» Well, needed indeed! In Lisbon there are three independent street funiculars, albeit small and operated by the same company — the text mistakenly links to Trams in Lisbon instead of to Elevador da Glória, Elevador da Bica, and pt:Elevador do Lavra. And there’s yet another street funicular system in Portugal: pt:Funicular de Viseu, built already in the 21st century — I’m sure there must be many more worldwide. I suggest changing to «one of the few», which is undoubtly true, as 100 years ago there were many more of theses than today, recent ones notwithstanding. Operation?[edit]
