catfish species Peckoltia greedoi[edit]

In 2015 a catfish species was named after this character. Jonathan W. Armbruster, David C. Werneke, Milton Tan (2015) Three new species of saddled loricariid catfishes, and a review of Hemiancistrus, Peckoltia, and allied genera (Siluriformes). ZooKeys 480: 97-123.

His name[edit]

From where is his name (Greedo) known? I cannot remember to have heard his name in any Star Wars movie. We should add to the article, where and when his name is mentioned. --212.186.0.108 (talk) 13:57, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Where/when his name is mentioned is irrelevant, and does not need a place in the article.

Off the top of my head, I can tell you two times his name is mentioned in the movies alone. 1st in A New Hope, in the scene where Han speaks with Jabba outside the Millennium Falcon directly after he leaves the Cantina. 2nd in A Phantom Menace, in the scene where Anakin wrestles a young Greedo in the streets. Both of these scenes were cut from the original versions of the films, but can be accessed through extras. Greedo 8 10:51, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Is this page necessary?[edit]

I think this page should be deleted. Greedo is a largely irrelevant character and there's already a separate article for Han Shot First. Surname[edit]

I have added a secondary source for the surname, this Collider web article. That site looks reliable to me, but in a Google Books search I could only find primary sources to the effect that Greedo is of clan Tetsu, like here in Shadows Planet Collection, p. 15. Not sure if that directly translates into his surname being Tetsu, but anyway, the name's not made up by Wikipedia editors. Daranios (talk) 15:25, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
