This article needs to be disambiguated from notable climate science activist Greg Craven of "wonderingmind42" fame.

Why is a Vice Chancellor of an Australian university supposedly of any interest to the entire world? This should be the wikipedia page of Greg Craven, the American professor of Physics that gained fame after creating the "How It All Ends" series of climate change informational videos. -- Leandro Tami (who doesn't have nor want a Wikipedia account) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.254.66.94 (talk) 02:10, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And why is Britney Fucking Spears or U.S. baseball of any interest to the entire world?? A sizable number of guys seem to think they are at least Wiki worthy, but I can't see why...

Greg is not an "American professor of Physics" - he is a high school science teacher in Corvallis, Oregon. Nevertheless, he is definitely a kind of genius whose work will probably prove to be of more value than most Professors. Look at his brand new trailer for his book - "What's the Worst That Could Happen", published July 7th, based on the Youtube videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7e10ZNpogv4 This book could help save the world "as we know it"!

Delete this article. Greg Craven is just a narcissist, upset that no one cares to rewrite Australians constitution to suit his desire to introduce Catholic fanaticism into law. Don't feed the trolls, leave him to sulk. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.94.56.164 (talk) 10:15, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In response to the preceding comment[edit]

Greg Craven is a brilliant academic and holds a secular libertarian constitution in complete faith. As for his supposed Catholic fanaticism, Craven was a key figure in amending state legislation regarding the equal opportunities act, notably being the first non-liberal party member to address liberal senators and convince them that members of the gay community were entitled to the same rights as everyone else. Additionally he was the first journalist to speak out in the defense of Justice Kirby regarding the Henerman allegations. It is both bigotry and benign to suggest that Craven allows his faith to intrude in his professional life. The comments should be removed as they promote religious vilification and are especially malicious and unfounded when aimed at a figure involved in several social justice agendas. Also who cares about some American this article is written for Australians. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.176.87.90 (talk) 22:45, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pell case[edit]

I note that the article alleges that Craven told University staff not to comment on the Pell case. Can anyone provide a reliable source for this? I have looked at the Guardian article, and cannot find anything - although I might have missed this. Unfortunately The Australian article is not available online to the public, although I would be surprised if this was stated, given the leanings of Craven towards free speech. 49.176.195.191 (talk) 18:51, 6 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Link between Pell case and his retirement[edit]

Regarding the content that I just removed from the article, linking his resignation to the Pell case - the source did not support that content (it didn't mention the Victoria Police, as far as I could find), and it didn't make a clear link between the case and his retirement. This is a BLP, we need to be cautious. GirthSummit (blether) 15:20, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography[edit]

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue.
