Critical reception[edit]

I have added a critical reception section to this article. I moved the bit about Water from the life and career section into the new one, and added some quotes from newspaper reviews. However, I think we need to find some negative reviews to conform to WP:NPOV. Ultrauber (talk) 16:29, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

One particular song[edit]

Please say, in 2016 or 2017 or any year in the future, if the song where he sings "musical genocide", is notable for any reason? The album which it is on, is that notable for any reasoon? 46.212.57.131 (talk) 12:59, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's a song on his 2013 Liquid Spirit album. If he gives a particularly remarkable performance, which is supported by a WP:RS, such as a music publication for example, then this might warrant an individual mention as notable. But I see that the album itself has yet to get its own article. Martinevans123 (talk) 13:18, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Gregory Porter[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Gregory Porter's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 15:59, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

TV Appearance[edit]

Is it worth mentioning under the career section that Porter hosted his own musical history documentary series on the BBC in 2017? It's titled Gregory Porters Popular Voices. Year inconsistencies[edit]

In the lead section, it is noted that Porter has won 2 Grammys, first in 2014 and then in 2017. However, in the awards section, the years are listed as 2013 and 2016. A cursory look through the links there show that the albums were released in 2013 and 2016, and then the awards granted in 2014 and 2017. Can anyone confirm whether the format in the awards section is standard? To put it more clearly: The awards table shows the years of song/album release, as opposed to the year the award was awarded. Is this correct? Xx78900 (talk) 10:10, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
