The first picture reading "Grindelwald and Eiger" is, in fact, Grindelwald and Wetterstein. It is the wrong mountain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.129.243.60 (talk) 19:43, 25 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion the three words "Eiger North Face" should appear in the introduction. If someone has no knowledge about the Alps and Switzerland they probably don't know Grindelwald. But they most likely know "the North Face". Grindelwald is THE destination if you want to see the face, no? Sure this isn't WikiTravel, but the article sounds like it was written by a bureaucrat, frankly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:1205:34DD:6C80:1293:E9FF:FE0A:2F58 (talk) 22:38, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The railway line diagram of the WAB contains several errors:

  • In the Grindelwald station, there is no connection between the WAB and the BOB line to Zweilütschinen. The two railways share the station, but are not linked (actually, the WAB has 800mm gauge, the BOB has 1000mm)
  • Grindelwald Grund is not a triangular station. The trains from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg must change the direction here. There is no through rail.
  • Grindelwald Grund should be located on the left side of the line, not on the right.
  • At Kleine Scheidegg, there IS a triangular station. The rails from Grindelwald just go straight ahead in direction Wengen. However, there is a triangle which is used to turn the trains around since the locomotives should always be on the valley side of the train (i.e. in direction Grindelwald or Wengen)
  • The attached Jungfraubahn at Kleine Scheidegg should be placed on the left side

Unfortunately, I am not experienced enough to do this modification. I hope that someone with more knowledge can do this. --TracksOnWax (talk) 21:42, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In the media (Gran Turismo 2, Grindelwald track)[edit]

I remember that the Playstation 1 racing game Gran Turismo 2 had a track called Grindelwald. I'm unsure if it was modelled on actual roads in the area or completely fictional. Does anybody know anything about it? 85.230.104.22 (talk) 10:34, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is fictional, but based on the Grindelwald. However, I agree to write about it in the Grindelwald article. Because I think it is notable and it makes many people know about Grindelwald. http://gran-turismo.wikia.com/wiki/Grindelwald --Love Krittaya (talk) 17:06, 29 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Residents[edit]

Richard Wagner is listed as a resident of Grindelwald, but no documentation is provided or cited. No mention of Grindelwald is made in the linked biographical entry for Wagner. What basis is there for this listing? Mchuston (talk) 18:23, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Climate[edit]

All you have on "climate" is precipitation. Nothing on temperature?
--Atikokan (talk) 00:08, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the source for precipitation doesn't have any temperature data and neither does weatherbase.Tobyc75 (talk) 11:29, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
