I was going to ask the same question, but I see someone already asked 3 times. I bet due to rating decrease, that is most cases for cancellation. Xbox999 (talk) 21:26, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I presume it was to costly to produce, as the show works with a lot of insertions, usually flashbacks. Most of these segments do not even last 30 seconds but were shot in a completely different scenery, often involving extras and elaborate furnishing. Besides the actors this form of storytelling was the main asset of the show, but might have proven to difficult to follow for a more lowbrow audience. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.180.112.142 (talk) 08:35, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This is the kind of show that could've easily survived on ABC's TGIF block, but alas, didn't. From rumors, the cast was tired, the writers were tired, The WB cut the budget, and no other network wanted to pick it up. Sure, the show could've lasted longer, and hell, even a Lily spin-off of her in college could've been made, but that's all water that went under the bridge and into the Mississippi. Irish?[edit]

The Finnerty family is often described as Irish-Catholic, but doesn't Claudia's maiden name, Bustamante, suggest that she's Italian rather than Irish? I think the right term here would be simply "Catholic".

Hi again! Since I asked this, I've found out, that Claudia's father was Italian, but her mother was Irish. So that would make the family at least 3/4 Irish.

Cast photos[edit]

Why is the season 1/2 photo caption as the "original cast" when both photos are of the same actors? Spartan198 (talk) 23:35, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
