Birmingham[edit]

Took out the Birmingham category reference - Guillemots are definitely a London-based band, and it's quite odd to see them being hailed as from Birmingham all over the internet. Wikipedia does NOT count as fact checking, dear journalists! (Especially you, Guardian folk. For shame!)

Avant garde[edit]

Demo songs[edit]

What should be done about the demo songs previously added to "Discography" session? Personaly I think there souldn't be more than something like "there are some free demo songs their website and P2P networks". List them all isn't necessary, IMO. Anyway, the original article had this:

Requested move[edit]

I believe this article should be moved to the main 'Guillemots' namespace. This band is famous in the United Kingdom, and I believe that it is more likely that someone will be searching for this band than the bird species (which they would, surely, search for with 'Guillemot'). It would also mean that the three articles (bird, band and disambig) would be reduced to two (bird and band - toplink on each page).

I agree with this. I can see no reason that the someone, anyone would search for "2 guillemots" - that's just stupid. I propse this should be moved to Guillemots. --SteelersFan UK06 18:31, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Genre change[edit]

First, start a new discussion, don't put beneath another. Second, you can do it yourself. Third, because the singer calls it this or that doesn't make it so. Musical genres are layed down by the musical industry, not by one person. --Soetermans (talk) 18:45, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kittiwake[edit]

When a member of the band did Tweet of the Day on BBC Radio 4 today (26 November 2017) he said that the band were going to be called the Kittiwakes until he learnt that another band had that name. Vorbee (talk) 09:07, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The picture added by ARIEL2412 on 2016 September 12‎ at 19:18 shows THREE people, yet the caption lists FOUR. Where is DC Lord in the picture??
