Now Gulf and Atlantic Railways[edit]

Name Change, back to Pinsly[edit]

I have no clue what to do; with returning the page back to the new name.

An older page currently exists with the current name, Pinsly Railroad Company.

I think you need to explain this a bit more. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 14:52, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My understanding of the situation is that the original Pinsly Railroad Company was effectively defunct after selling its last railroad to Gulf & Atlantic Railways last year (our article is outdated). Gulf & Atlantic Railways has now rebranded itself as Pinsly Railroad Company. No obvious common name as yet and we certainly shouldn't merge the articles. I suggest the following:

Requested move 8 May 2024[edit]

– Although sources explicitly saying such are lacking, the original Pinsly Railroad Company was defunct after selling its last shortline to Gulf & Atlantic Railways in 2023. Gulf & Atlantic Railways has now renamed itself Pinsly Railroad Company. This is a separate company with a separate history, so a merge is not appropriate. Neither topic is the obvious WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Post-move, Pinsly Railroad Company should be a disambiguation page. Mackensen (talk) 11:56, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
