Copyright "Violation"[edit]

The original website that carries the government sources about the Thermal Plant are property of Indian Government hence is meant to be used and reused by all  Jon Ascton  (talk) 13:13, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Only certain publications of the Indian Government are free of copyright constraints. In accordance with the Copyright Rules of 1957, most content published in the The Gazette of India, most Acts of Legislature, most official reports prepared for the Table of the Legislature and legal judgments are not copyright protected (though sometimes conditions convey: for instance, there may be requirement that the content remain unmodified or a judicial authority may prohibit reproduction). As far as content from NIC, I'm afraid that this material is not public domain. See [1]: it can only be reproduced with prior permission and modifications are expressly forbidden. This is incompatible with Wikipedia's Terms of Use, I'm afraid, as we can neither prevent modifications nor require prior permission. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:28, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
