To me this musician is noteworthy (passes the criteria for composers) but I think the overall entry is too detailed and some passages read like and advertising. I propose the following:
the article should be shortened
some passages should be rewritten in a more neutral tone
Re-check if the references are suitable (I just did a first pass and put references inline at least)
