Loosing its neutral encyclopedic nature[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia - Your contribution to the HM Land Registry article Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed your growing contributions to the HM Land Registry article. Thank you for expanding/correcting my note on buildings use. Perhaps you are new to Wikipedia - you have not logged on with a username (which is extremely easy and rapid) and which I encourage you to do. I notice that your contributions are getting very long. Wikipedia is about (generally concise) encyclopaedia-style entries. You will find that your work will be radically edited, and parts discarded, by other editors in an evolving effort to arrive at a consistent style and remove superfluous detail. It is not a history book - beware of spending too much effort on details! Good luck with it and don't get too worried when your words are changed. If you are intimately connected with the Land Registry then can I advise you to write in a non-enthusiastic style, otherwise the article may appear biased (even though the facts are correct). What does the Land Registry do in the planning process[edit]

It would be nice if there was some clarification on the role of Land Registry in the UK planning process. Land Banking Scams often use the registration of land and plans to prove to potential targets that the land is on the way to being approved for building use and therefore about to become a lot more valuable. LAnd registry documents are foten part of a pack of official looking stuff given out. As far as I know the Land Registry has no role in the planning process beyond being able to provide registration of ownership and therefore cannot influence the planning process in a positive or negative way.

Online Payments[edit]

I have made more than 6 attempts to purchase documents from LR but every time the transaction fails at the card verification stage. I have used different computers with different security settings and have made successful purchases with the same cards elsewhere. My conclusion is that WorldPay itself is at fault and that LR would be better served by a more competent card processing service. It is further exacerbating that in order to contact the LR you have to join a social media service - their site won't accept comments direct. 89.39.161.44 (talk) 07:15, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
