Why was this page deleted you power-crazed morons?

It was deleted because it had been copied from an external site verbatim, and that's not allowed. Simple. DS (talk) 14:59, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Carried by Elisa in Finland[edit]

Carried by Elisa as a non-carrier-locked phone, proof is on their shopit site - only in Finnish, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.93.83.253 (talk) 10:25, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Software Updates Marked as outdated[edit]

Software update section (about Android 2.2) Seems to be written in future tense when update released. Please verify that the info is up to date, thank you, Jamietw (talk) 19:26, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am running mine on Android 2.2 since last days december 2010 (Sweden). Works fine, has a Wifi-server but is almost the same as A 2.1, slightly more tending to lagg but is OK.

HW Updates[edit]

There is a new upgraded "HTC Wildfire S" on the market in Sweden today 20110306 and possible to order, but not yet in stock, 50 EUR more expensive than the regular. Shipped ewith improved processor 600MHz (528Mhz), graphics 320x480 dots (240x320)and 512MB RAM (384MB) and shipped with Android 2.3.

Market aspects[edit]

The HW design and pricing of teh HTC Wildfire is very tuned for real needs, is capable of about everything except quite some video formats (lags but some works and videos are possible to remake for formats that do work). Most people do not run HD video on the mobile phone. The price is 1/4 of a iPhone4 and half of a HTC Desire. And the unit is far more ruggid than a iPhone, the case is bouncing the unit and I meet someone dropped a Wildfire in a rock 5m, iPhones do not normally last dropping from standing ito a stone floor. A Wildfire do not need an insurance and is quite OK to give to a teen (teens are however very brand aware and that might be the most obvious implication. But giving a teen an iPhone and the screen is cracked in a few days or the unit snached by the teens pals. The wildfire has about everything necessary. So Most likly this is the volume product that most likly will stand alone take a larger market share than all the iPhones when the market matures. Apples sales strategy is not the volume market. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.185.106.142 (talk) 19:09, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Price?[edit]

Anyone remember how much it cost initially/in the first few months? 89.12.86.100 (talk) 06:19, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I paid €245 for mine in September/October 2010 carrier-unlocked. Here's a historical overview of prices in different stores in my country: http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/257636/htc-wildfire-wit.html Peetz0r (talk) 16:15, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
