Article vandalized![edit]

There is a Wikipedia user with the name "Magiciandude" who is constantly edit warring the article by removing big parts of information, without discussing them in the article's talk page. It is obvious vandalism, this user is trying to destroy the article by removing almost everything. Check out the article's history, the user is changing everything and removing whole sentences plus certifications. I tried to come into contact with him so that he stops edit warring but he keeps on ruining it. Please someone help me to fix it, I'm almost new in Wikipedia and don't know how to handle it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sailormoon94 (talkcontribs) 23:08, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Do you understand that the content that I removed were against MOS:ALBUM? I've listed each reason why I removed them on my edit summary. I removed reviews from Amazon and iTunes because they are not profession reviews (see WP:ALBUM/REVSIT). Both Tbhotch and I already explained to you why your edits on certifications were not accepted. EDIT: Also, I suggest you read WP:VANDNOT as none of my edits fall under vandalism. Erick (talk) 00:42, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Platinum in Mexico[edit]

Yesterday, 12/2 Thalía herself received her platinum certification in Mexico in a meet and greet event in Sanborns store in Mexico City. She was awarded and then she signed copies of her album to her fans. There are millions of references in almost every single spanish-language news site in the Internet. In case someone removes the certification, I guess it would happen because it should be confirmed from the Government of Mexico, so that it is verified information, and even then it will be doubted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sailormoon94 (talkcontribs) 13:12, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:CHARTS#Certifications, we go by what the certifying authority says not the popular press. We do not list it as platinum until AMPROFON themselves update it on their website. Erick (talk) 00:31, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think the problem is that AMPROFON updates its database every week. Acording to Organizacion Editorial Mexicana, Diario de México (since 1805), El Informador, EFE, Televisa and more, Habítame siempre has certified as platinum in Mexico. [1], [2], [3], [4]. And it was in Mexico when her was delivered. Best regards, Chrishonduras (talk) 19:59, 6 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have a problem with reliable sources used as certifications, but the above user was using the official website affilated with Thalia as a source. AMPROFON updating its database every week isn't really an issue at all since the newer certification will be posted anyway. If they had stopped updating, then it would be a problem. The album was certified GOLD by RIAA[edit]

It now exists in RIAA's database...it can be found upon search. So, it is not up for debate, the album is gold in the US. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.32.158.20 (talk) 21:27, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Correct, anyway already  added. Chrishonduras (talk) 21:34, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Certifications constantly change, why?[edit]

The album was certified gold (latin) by RIAA. The certification exists in the site's database. For some unexplainable reason, the certification was removed. As for Mexico, the AMPROFON site still shows the chart of December 9, 2012, and the album was then platinum. But since then, it's been ages and the album has achieved one more platinum certification, Thalía herself thanked her fans through her Twitter account for her double platinum certification in Mexico. Why whould she have to lie, since she knows that sooner or later the AMPROFON charts will be updated? So, it is definitely true. However, a user had said that since the AMPROFON site has not been updated, the certification cannot still be added. So, OK, I accept it. But why to remove the RIAA certification? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.74.110.116 (talk) 15:24, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New certification in Mexico, don't know how to add it[edit]

If you check the updated AMPROFON chart : http://www.centrodedesarrollodigital.com/amprofon3/Top100.pdf the album is certified as double platinum plus gold which equals 150,000 copies. I don't know how to edit this template so that this certification is accepted. Because I think only in Mexico this certification exists, as in other countries, after double platinum, a record becomes third platinum etc. but in Mexico it functions like this. I need some help.

Done Certification was verified on the AMPROFON website so I added it to the template as well as update the archive as to not lose the verification in the future. Erick (talk) 06:42, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Help[edit]

A user had changed the album's peak position in Argentina. In the site of CAPIF, the album had peaked at #4 on the weekly charts. It was 11th on the monthly chart. Can someone archive the link in which the album appears at #4, so that the position won't be doubted in the future? It's RANKING SEMANAL (it means weekly chart) --> week of 18/11/2012. The album appears at #4. Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.74.70.115 (talk) 07:43, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Spanish Chart[edit]

The album debuted at #33 in Spain according to the most recent chart published by PROMUSICAE. Could someone archive the website so that the position won't be lost? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.202.101.76 (talk) 16:45, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
