Histmerge request

I don't see why the attribution from this stage of the draft needs to be preserved, considering none of its contents were copy-pasted. It was a poorly written draft with a plethora of unsourced genres. Anthony Appleyard, you know my draft was created separately, and all the contents copied over had a single author, myself. Just because someone had a mostly-unsourced premature draft for it somewhere does not mean I should have my page creation credit revoked. Again, I am the sole author of all content from the draft that was copied here.--NØ 15:22, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: well, if anyone can come and simply write a new draft and discard the existing one, I do not see the meaning of the existence of drafts. That's why they are drafts, to keep expanding them as the news comes out, which I couldn't do since you quickly created a parallel draft instead of expanding the existing one. To be fair, the original draft was at the odd title, "Draft:Untitled Billie Eilish Next Album". It did not occur to me to search for it. However, the point here is no content from that draft appears in the article. Thus the "copy and paste move" that occured here was done by me, and involving only content written by me. Thus, nothing needs to be moved for attribution purposes since your content isn't used here at all. I could have created this in my personal userspace and wouldn't have anything to do with your malformed draft. Nonetheless, rather than engaging in a back and forth argument I will let the admin make the call.--NØ 15:36, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
  • What I would want is for the histmerge request to be declined. I am the sole author of all information copied over. No need to go through the hassle of merging anything.--NØ 15:58, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
I think it would be fair to re-merge the histories because the user in question instead of moving the draft that you previously merged decided to simply delete everything and paste the deletion on a page that he had created as a redirect yesterday. Anthony Appleyard, you asked the question "What do you want me to do?" and are going through with the histmerge anyway? This is a bit confusing.--NØ 16:03, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
  • Well then, I will archive this discussion.--NØ 16:06, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
