Untitled[edit]

Edited spelling in the section and deleted none encyclopiedic language:

"It was also the home of the worlds first cole mine as we know it, beeing the first in the world with a steel cable down its shaft. This revolutionised the cole mining industry which still today the world could not live without."

Also re-wrote because of poor English:

"In Haswell village itself there was years ago a railway station which was home of the very important Haswell railway. this served the local area and beyond!"

Plagiarism[edit]

I'm loving the word-for-word plagerism of the Sunderland Echo's article on Haswell a couple of years ago! Seeing as I wrote it, I don't really mind, but it would have been nice to give the paper some credit!

some trivia to add The song Telegraph Road from Dire straits is about this town. Since english isn't my language i don't add it myself ;)
