I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Recent changes[edit]

I have made a few, and hope they mostly improve the info on the P.1052. One thing still bothers me though, and that is the date of the first flight. I have changed this to the same day in December. 48/12/19 is the date given in Green & Cross's book, which I have cited. I tend to believe this because

i) Green is a fairly reliable source;

ii) they were writing (1955) quite close to the event;

iii) and dates mattered to them, since their book is ordered chronologically by first flight.

None of these mean the December date is right, and I know 48/11/19 is much quoted on the web. Given the only difference is 11 rather than 12, somebody sometime made a typo, but with which? Does anyone know of an unquestionable source from pre-1950, probably paper, to decide us? TSRL 21:26, 14 July 2007 (UTC)TSRL[reply]

Since this note, I've had a very helpful email from Graham Mottram of the FAAM at Yeovilton. No log books, but sveral contemporary books say November, including Jane's 51/2. So that Green and Cross got it wrong seems certain.143.167.6.222 12:07, 18 July 2007 (UTC)TSRL[reply]
