5/4 used in much of "As We Go Along"[edit]

That song is on this album but has no separate article. Notice the use of 5/4 in much of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.20 (talk) 17:18, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I've noticed it. —Tamfang (talk) 20:28, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ditty Diego - War Chant[edit]

I've seen several sites with potentially incorrect information about which Monkees' vocal is which on the chant.

Potentially False Information[edit]

All: Hey, hey, we are The Monkees You know we love to please A manufactured image With no philosophies

Mike: We hope you like our story Although there isn’t one That is to say there’s many That way there is more fun

Peter: You’ve told us you like action And games of many kinds You like to dance, we like to sing So let’s all lose our minds

Micky: To mix it all together Pictures, sounds, and songs And time and place and weather And even rights and wrongs

Davy: We know it doesn’t matter ’Cause what you’ve come to see Is what we’d love to give you And give it one, two, three

Mike: But it may come three, two, one, two Or jump from nine to five And when you see an end in sight The beginning may arrive

Peter: For those who look for meanings And form as they do fact We might tell you one thing But then we’d only take it back

Micky: Not back like in a box back Not back like in a race Not back so we can keep it But back in time and space

Davy: You say we’re manufactured To that we all agree So make your choice, and we’ll rejoice In never being free

All: Hey, hey, we are The Monkees We’ve said it all before The money’s in, we’re made of tin We’re here to give you more

Could it be that there are two different mixes with different sets of lyrics, vocals? Because I'm good at identifying the voices of each of the Monkees, so I am almost, if not 100% certain that my word of what each Monkee says is correct. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:38, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've just checked and apparently the information that otherwise would be false is the information referring to the first recorded version, while the information I presented refers to the album version. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 08:32, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My edits to the page[edit]

I've just updated the page with more song recording info from the Monkees' Sunshine Factory fan site. However there are a couple of sections to the page that may need additional research.

  • Dandruff? - This page credits a "cop" or officer, and "director" as participants of the "Dandruff?" track. I'm guessing that the "cop" is supposed to mean "Officer Faye Lapid" (Logan Ramsey) and the "director" is supposed to mean Bob Rafelson because he directed the film. But when I added the information to the page, I listed them as "Film Officer" and "Film Director". I didn't want to credit them as "Logan Ramsey" and "Bob Rafelson" incase I listed the wrong people. So I would recommend another user - if they can - to find out whether "Logan Ramsey" and "Bob Rafelson" were the "Cop" and "Director" respectively, in Dandruff?
  • Poll – As for Poll, the page credits "Man #1", "Man #2", and "Man #3" as participants of the "Poll" track. Because they were not credited by the names of their actors, I wrote them down as "Man #1", "Man #2", and "Man #3" in the "Poll" track, personnel.

I just wanted to point this out. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 04:41, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this edit[edit]

I wanted to ask about these edits here since I'm unsure whether or not they are correct. I tried to ask the user whether they were sure that it's meant to say Hollywood and not Hollowed, and that they are sure that Hollowed isn't an existent area or sub-area in the United States. But I didn't get a response, so I thought I might as well bring it up here. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 02:22, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and undone the edits because I didn't get a response within a reasonable amount of time. Feel free to undo my reversions of those edits if you genuinely feel that Hollowed was nothing more than a typo of Hollywood. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 02:20, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
