Requires rewrite[edit]

This article has to this point been extremely poorly written. Those who have contributed are obviously not jazz musicians themselves, judging by the narrow band of information provided which is misleading at best. I could write quite a bit on this subject, but I don't have the time right now so I'm putting an expertise-whatevermajigger tag on it and a complete rewrite tag as well. We need someone who plays jazz music at a professional level and participates in jam sessions on a regular basis to write this up. Dextrose 21:33, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm removing the "Overview" section on the grounds that it is irrelevant and largely incorrect. This is not a common organisation (and 16-bar blues charts are not typical), and the list, in whatever form, probably belongs somewhere else anyway. Dextrose 06:57, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. That only took over a year. I think there's a lot more to be said here, largely this information is almost folkloric, and it would be nice to see it explained more thoroughly for the average person. Learning on one's own the information that belongs in this article takes years. Dextrose (talk) 17:26, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
