I[edit]

I would question the need for this article. I have personally never come across the phrase being used in the Irish media, and a Google search only turns up wikipedia-sourced content, as well as something to do with some series of fantasy books. Also, the health boards are no more.

Surely it would be better to have an article on the health board system, which could include this content and a note about the "Eleven Kingdoms" nickname - although I'd like to see some evidence that this nickname was widely used. --Ryano 08:41, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It was quite a common term by the opposition for some time and a google search is not always definitive in nature. If you want to rewrite in terms of the 1970 Health Act then by all means. Djegan 09:06, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I may do that if time allows, although I'm not much of an expert on the area. Perhaps the term "eleven kingdoms" predates my interest in politics, but I've searched the archives of Dáil debates and it doesn't appear to have been used in the house at least. --Ryano 09:41, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I intend to move this article to Health Board (Ireland) - or something similar - and in the process rewrite the article (de'pov it somewhat and broaden its focus as a historical article), any comments? Djegan 22:30, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
