Categorise[edit]

Categorise the list of Hebbar Iyengars named in the article under a) Famous Hebbar Iyengars (whose wiki page has been created)and b) Notable Hebbar Iyengars to resolve the debate as to who names should be included under what category. The photo of BKS Iyengar should be there but adjunct to his name under famous people and not at the head of the article. Some other aspect relating to their origin or their trade mark say 'vadagali tiruman' should be put at the begining. I have put one, if all of them belong to Parakala mutt.If not acceptable, delete it.--Nvvchar (talk) 02:57, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tuluva Hebbars[edit]

This entire section regarding "Tuluva Hebbars" is unsourced (the source"Bologi.com" is not reliable, because, anybody can add article to that website) and the contents are unreliable. eg. Two families from gangamula joined so and so math; there are Hebbar Iyengars still now etc. This entire section is to be rewritten with reliable sources , otherwise the facts mentioned there can be considered as purely guess work of the editor.

Restoration[edit]

Someone has just attempted to restore an old version of this article. I realise that the current version is poor but if you look through the editing history, you will see comments that explain the past removals and, I think, they are compliant with our policies and guidelines. - Sitush (talk) 13:16, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
