Possible Copyright and close paraphrasis issues[edit]

Some of the article content, in particular the test-flight preparations and descriptions, seem to be partial copies or too-close a paraphrasis of this non-free content. The tone in the test flight sections is promotional, non-neutral and oddly peacockish. How much of this material is a straight lift from Warsitz' son's book on his father's career? I can't say, as I've no access to a preview of this English Edition, but I've an idea it would be worth checking. Haploidavey (talk) 15:30, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, have done a little checking. The questionable content was added in August 2009 by User:Firstjetpilot, a currently inactive user who could also have authored the firstjetpilot website which in turn is copyright of Lutz Warsitz, who also holds author's copyright of his test-pilot father's biography. If the wikipedian Firstjetpilot and Lutz Warsitz are one and the same, is this a COI issue, a copyright issue, or a bit of both? And do the website and book count as WP:RS. Or must we lose the lot? The Wsrsitz stuff probably warrants trimming right down, to avoid WP:WEIGHT issues if nothing else. And you may want to look at some of User:Firstjetpilot's edits on other articles, which if I recall, are similarly promotional.Nigel Ish (talk) 06:58, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
