From the German wikipedia article about Hjalmar Schacht I was led to the article about Deterding. In the German wikipedia there is a major section called "Deterding and the Nazis". In particular, it states that he was among the early supporters of Hitler giving him a large amount of money, while he was still largely unknown (i.e., before the beer hall putsch). Yet, he was also KBE, a honorary knight of the British Empire. On the English wikipedia there is no mention at all about his relations with the Nazis, and the Dutch article doesn't say more than that many Nazi dignitaries were present at his burial. 130.83.197.163 (talk) 12:27, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
