Medium?/Media Appearances[edit]

I seem to remember this song being used on Medium. Has it been used on other television shows as well? (and should that be put in the article?) - Holly (talk) 06:01, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added that it appeared in a CSI: NY episode in December 2009; that and other media appearances might help explain the song's late rise. Dalton Imperial (talk) 06:38, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Village Voice[edit]

I added a detail that this was named the Worst Song of 2010 and it was removed with the explanation that "The Village Voice is less than a legitimate source for music info, esp. opinion". How so? The Village Voice Pazz and Jop annual poll is one of the most recognized and respected tallies of opinions about popular music, with opinions tallied from hundreds of music journalists (not bloggers, working music journalists). In general, it is the first and oldest alternative weekly newspaper in the United States, a model that has been replicated across the country. It is absolutely an authoritative source on music and musical criticism.

This is an encyclopedia and has to list the positive and the negative critiques of art.

Please discuss, otherwise I'll be adding the entry back in. DFS (talk) 20:57, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I removed that nonsense a second time (don't know who did it the first time). I do agree that negative criticism can be added in. However, it has to be from civilised sources which are less sarcastic. This song is not an "orgy where bad ideas trade STDs, and the most syphilitic brain-fart stumbled in drunk". How can a song be an orgy? I hardly find this to be an trustworthy source because it uses such crude terms. I wouldn't encourage you to add it in again without the explicit go-ahead from a Wikipedia admin. --220.255.2.40 (talk) 12:59, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Succession Boxes[edit]

I put up succession boxes, but they were removed with the explanation "no consensus for these". What happened? Bulldog73 (talk) 01:44, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is a strong disagreement over whether they should be allowed on articles for songs and albums just because they reached number one on one or more charts. A long discussion took place at WT:CHARTS, which resulted in no consensus in favor or against. Because of that, they really shouldn't be added to any more articles until there is consensus to have them. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 23:06, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Then what is "consensus", may I ask? Bulldog73 (talk) 21:22, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Grammys[edit]

"The song was not eligible for any Grammy in the General Field."

Why not? It sounds like there's a story here... 12.162.122.5 (talk) 15:12, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What cameo?[edit]

The page says there is a cameo by Hugh Jackman in the video but he doesn't appear in the video and there's no other reference to this online. The reference should be more specific or removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:88CB:900:7C29:1E3:CE81:BA98 (talk) 21:23, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
