highway vs. motorway[edit]

Individual road articles are named with "highway" in the name, but it might be useful to use "motorway" consistently. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 01:37, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

After reviewing a lot more articles, I think it's best to go ahead and do a complete shift of "Highway Dx (Czech Republic)" to "Dx motorway (Czech Republic)". This would then also more closely correspond to the names of other motorway articles.

The same goes for the expressway articles - because of an inherent ambiguity with the eponymous Slovak counterparts I already moved the first handful to unambiguous names. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 19:19, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

expressways -> motorways[edit]

Since January 1, 2016 almost all of the expressway will be signed as motorways. Mostly the number will be untouched, with one exception - expressway R1 will be signed as motorway D0. 62.152.144.21 (talk) 00:25, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
