May be an interesting detail that the song "kelvin grove" (http://www.rampantscotland.com/songs/blsongs_kelvingrove.htm ) mentions the existence of a mill in the area. Gilmorehill → Hillhead?[edit]

Information on the University of Glasgow, in this article and others, refers to it as being in Gilmorehill. A redirect Gilmorehill exists, pointing here. But there is no explanation or history of the name(s) and how they relate. Various Google hits (e.g. scottish-places.info, theglasgowstory.com) seem to use the two names to refer to adjacent localities; at a guess, I would infer that "Hillhead" grew to encompass "Gilmorehill", but my guess is not encyclopaedic content!
