Article name[edit]

As the following ref notes:

  • "Hillsboro Baseball Stadium". City of Hillsboro. Retrieved 2012-10-17.

the current name of the stadium is the Hillsboro Baseball Stadium. Until naming rights are sold I suggest moving the article to its current name. 67.101.5.113 (talk) 08:31, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As covered on your talk page, no. Read the cite you provide, which says: "The 4,500 capacity Hillsboro baseball stadium will be ..." Note, no caps except in the article title. As in it is not a proper noun and thus not entitled to be capitalized on Wikipedia. Further, the common name is not capitalized, as I cannot recall any of the news stories titling it as such, thus WP:COMMONNAME would also apply. Aboutmovies (talk) 09:00, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Your most recent changes represent some improvements, but your insistence on a lower-case version of the stadium name is not one of them, particularly your insistence on use "Unnamed (under construction)" in the infobox. The WP convention with an infobox is for the article title to match the name of the article; for now, let's just leave it blank, particularly since it will get renamed once naming rights are sold. 67.101.5.113 (talk) 09:19, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine with the infobox. We had this same problem on Wikipedia with what is now Marlins Park [1] Aboutmovies (talk) 19:36, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Also note, if you go to the site, you will see a nice sign put up about "pardon our dust" which goes on to say they are building Hillsboro's baseball stadium. No caps. If someone wants a copy of a picture of the sign, email me and I can send it, but I can't post it here as it would be a copyright violation since it includes a rendering of the stadium.
