Scope[edit]

As an FYI remember the scope is of anybody of ethnic Chinese ancestry, not just people from Mainland China. This means that people of the following places are also relevant:

  • Hong Kong
  • Macau
  • Republic of China area including Taiwan
  • Ethnic Chinese from Singapore and Malaysia
  • Ethnic Chinese from Vietnam (Viet Hoa), Cambodia, the Philippines, etc.

Therefore there's overlap with the Vietnamese in Houston article as that covers Kinh people and Viet Hoa.
